Teach with us
Inspiring courses for curious minds
Imaginable Ink is a community of teachers and educators who work together to develop unique, inspiring courses.

Many of our courses are intended for learners aged 16 - 18; we also offer curriculum-aligned courses for GCSE, A Level and for those studying for personal interest, including specialist programmes for adult learners.

Students aren't limited to conventional academic courses: by bringing together learners from around the UK, we run courses in lesser-taught options, such as ancient languages and creative subjects.
If you specialise in a subject or skill that is sometimes not taught in schools, our platform allows you to reach an audience of highly motivated learners, both for qualification-focused programmes and extracurricular clubs and activities.

Whether you’re a classroom teacher or specialist educator, our platform lets you create, teach and earn from your expertise without the admin overhead.

We handle the logistics, marketing and platform so that you can focus on teaching what you love.

How to apply
Imaginable Ink is an education network with teachers at its heart. We work on a profit-share basis, so teachers are paid fairly and consistently for the courses they run. While teachers focus on designing and delivering excellent learning experiences, we support the wider delivery of courses via our national network of partner schools, colleges and academies.

Each course is showcased on our dedicated platform to attract enrolment from committed, dedicated students around the UK.
We also feature selected courses in social media announcements, newsletters and blog posts, so you can reach your target audience through multiple channels.

By taking care of marketing, admin and payment infrastructure, we create the optimal environment for you to focus on teaching what you love.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which subjects can I teach?

Imaginable Ink is a platform where teachers around the UK can design and run courses in a broader range of subjects than a school curriculum usually offers. Our community of learners welcomes new opportunities for courses, clubs and activities.
Please take a look at our Home page for the most up-to-date list of subjects; if your subject isn't listed, you can get in touch via email.

How many students will I have per class?

Your course can either be cohort-based (live, real time) or self-paced (students progress through the material independently).

For a cohort-based course including live lessons, you can choose the class size that works best. As a guideline, courses for Modern Languages are usually open to enrolment by a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 8 students, with some teachers preferring to limit participation to a maximum of 6. The ideal number of students will depend on your intended level of participation for each individual.

For a self-paced course, there is no fixed limit to the number of participants. All material is pre-recorded and can be released to students upon enrolment or delivered as timed modules with defined start dates. For this type of course, all material (recordings, resources, worksheets) is uploaded prior to the course opening for enrolment.

How much will I be paid?

We are a community of teachers and our payment model is built around partnership. Teachers have the freedom to set their own course fees within a defined scale and receive a transparent profit share, with the platform supporting delivery through enrolment, operations and infrastructure. This means your earnings can grow as your course reaches more students.

Can I teach more than one course?

Yes, you can open your course for enrolment by multiple groups at once, or run different courses at the same time. For example, a Spanish teacher may take several A Level Spanish groups and/or opt to teach a GCSE cohort. They might also offer a course for adult learners alongside a course for the 16-18 age group.

For how many hours per week can I teach?

This is entirely up to you. Once your first course (or term) has been completed, you can list new courses or open up a new cohort within your existing programme if you would like to take on more teaching hours.

If you are looking for a part-time or full-time online teaching career, you might aim to develop your teaching business by adding more courses and taking on more students.
You can also opt to teach as a very part-time add-on to your full-time schedule at a school or college, for example, taking an evening class once per week.
